Donnelly: U.S. Senate Race is Tied

The campaign for U.S. Senate candidate Joe Donnelly has just released a poll showing the race between him and Republican Richard Mourdock is tied at 40-40 each.
The poll was conducted by the Global Strategy Group and it also showed 20 percent of voters undecided. The survey of 602 likely voters was conducted May 10-13 and the margin of error at the 95% confidence level is +/- 4.0.
The Donnelly campaign poll also showed that Mourdock’s call for more partisanship in Washington was not popular with voters. And that overall, most Indiana voters did not agree with the Tea Party movement.
The poll was broken down 43% Republican, 39% Democratic and 14% Independent.
