The chairman of the Indiana Republican party says while the odds favor the GOP in Indiana in the last stretch of this election season they are not taking anything for granted.
Previous polling has shown both Mitt Romney and Mike Pence with double-digit leads in their respective races over President Barack Obama and John Gregg. A new poll from Howey Politics and DePauw University is slated to be released on Thursday. However, those same polls have shown the race between Richard Mourdock and Democrat Joe Donnelly a statistical dead heat.
Chairman Eric Holcomb says the GOP is running like it is behind making hundreds of phone calls daily to voters. He also says the GOP is working increase turnout so that Republicans come out an vote in races and the party does not fall victim to complacency.
You can hear Holcomb’s comments below. They run approximately 8 minutes.
