Bosma: Sunday Sales and Mass Transit Should Get Full Hearings Next Session

Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma says he is open to full hearings on mass transit and Sunday alcohol sales next session.
Bosma made his commnets while outlining his caucuses’ agenda Thursday before reporters. That agenda includes closing what has been called the “skills gap” where jobs go unfilled because potential applicants are not qualified to fill them.
The Speaker talked about increasing educational opportunities by expanding vouchers and expanding early childhood education. Bosma also wants go through the state budget to see what programs can be restored that might have been cut in previous years.
When asked about mass transit and Sunday alcohol sales, the Speaker said those issues should be fully vetted and get hearings in the House.
The Speaker also noted while social issues like marriage are important to some lawmakers, he noted their primary agenda were jobs, education and budget stability
