Daniels, State Debt Cut in Half
Governor Mitch Daniels and Indiana lawmakers today ceremonially burned the mortgages of 10 state facilities, including the Government Center South and North buildings, announcing the buildings have been paid off as part of the state reducing its outstanding debt by more than 50%, from $3.6 billion to $1.7 billion.
