Mourdock Camp; “We’re Still Ahead”

The Richard Mourdock Senate campain has released a poll saying they have a one-point lead in the race against Joe Donnelly, one week after his controversial debate remarks regarding rape and abortion.
The internal poll put out this morning shows Mourdock leading Donnelly 45-44. The poll had them both at 44 each a few days ago. Libertarian Andy Horning came in four percent. Seven percent were undecided.
The poll of 600 likely voters had a margin of error of +/- 4%.
The poll’s political make up was 43% - R, 35% - D, 23% - Independent. Also 56% of the respondents were over 55.
It also showed Mitt Romney winning Indiana over Barack Obama 57-39.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had Joe Donnelly with a 7-point lead. And POLITCO is reporting a Democratic poll giving Donnelly a 7-9 point lead. The only independent poll of this race will be released Friday by Howey Politics and DePauw University.
